Course Description

In this technology-based class, you explore storytelling through an integrated study of the visual and sonic elements of animation. Learning fundamental principles of animation and musical scoring, students create their own animated shorts. Class lessons focus on visual and aural sequencing with an emphasis on the emotional depth of stories. The class helps students find their voice in artistic and musical styles as they create an animated short from concept to finished work and receive feedback from faculty, peers, and guest critics. Students must be 16 by July 5, 2020 to participate.
