Course Description

Academic Writing General Section. This is a required core component of the ESL+ certificate programs (ESL+D, ESL+M, ESL+U). These courses take students through the process of writing, from pre-writing to organizing, drafting, and revising everything from paragraphs to full-length essays. At each level, students learn the sentence structure, vocabulary, and writing techniques that will help them express themselves clearly in academic English. Four levels offered, from low-intermediate to advanced. Permission required and registration only through the Center fpr English Language Studies.
