Course DescriptionDevelop your ability to draw and paint from observation, a skill essential to visual expression. Work in the studio, in museums, and throughout New York City to complete portraits, landscapes, and imaginative projects. Investigate line, value, form, color, and composition through structured assignments. Research, field trips, and visits from working artists deepen your understanding of the problem-solving methods used by artists in the past and today.
This course is one offering from our Parsons Academy program, which runs for 11 Saturdays in the Fall and Spring semesters, and for 2 weeks in the Summer semester. For more information on schedule, registration, and refund policies, review each linked program page.
