4 Summer Intensive Courses You Didn't Know About

The Parsons Summer Intensive Studies program has one of the widest ranges of design topics—all at a globally top-ranked design school in the heart of New York City. Intensive courses are offered to both pre-college students (ages 16-18) and college-level and adult students (ages 18+). What will you create this summer?

Ceramics

An immersive, introductory exploration of art and design practices in ceramic processes. You will learn about handbuilding techniques (slab, coil, and pinch construction), molded components, wheel throwing, and glazes. As you advance your skills and knowledge of the craft, independent explorations of both sculptural and functional applications are encouraged and supported in the expression of individual art and design aesthetics.
