Course Description

Once students have designed and prototyped their new product idea, it’s time to launch it to the world. Students will learn the importance of branding their product, understand cost effective ways to create a website and learn why a social media presence is essential. Students will start to map their product brand and marketing strategy. From there, they will conceive the products packaging and shipping in a sustainable way. The course explores questions like, what happens to the product at the end of its life cycle? Is it a one-off art piece or a mass-produced product? And what are the associated costs? Students then learn crowdfunding options for bringing their product to the marketplace.
