Course Description

This course provides insight into the business of styling, creative collaboration, market research, and tools of how to keep calm in a fast-paced industry. The course challenges students to work through real-life scenarios in which they learn to maintain budgets, inventory, and how to honor the needs of clients. Students are exposed to styling resources, showrooms, professional stylists, and a number of professions that work tangential to stylists. Students learn about the professional spaces and develop an understanding of how a stylist role fits into a larger production. These experiences help students gain skills in adjusting their eye for on and off figure, editorial, and commercial styling.
