Course Description

Apply conceptual development and storyboarding skills and refine practical knowledge using industry-standard software like Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to an advanced level. Students will build on skills learned in the first two courses of the certificate, learning more advanced techniques and adding professional quality work to their portfolios. Faculty will mentor with real-world experience to give students a solid understanding of the motion graphics industry.

Course Length - Online 9 weeks

Learner Outcomes

  • Intermediate and advanced motion graphics creation techniques using After Effects, Premier Pro, Bridge and Media Encoder
  • Continued development of aesthetic sophistication and knowledge of current industry trends
  • Hands-on visual content creation skills
  • Fluency in both peer work evaluation/critique, and the qualitative evaluation of one’s own work

Prerequisites

Students are encouraged to have completed or be currently enrolled in PCDD 0331 - Motion Design 1 with After Effects prior to taking Motion Design 2 with After Effects.
