Parsons 2021

For the fourth year in a row, Parsons School of Design has topped the QS World University Rankings, a London-based “global provider of specialist higher education and careers information and solutions.” Despite the challenges of the 2020-2021 academic year, Parsons held on to first place on its list of best art and design schools in the United States and is in third place on its list of best art and design schools in the world.

“I am so proud of everything that our students, faculty, and staff have achieved throughout this challenging, unique year,” said Rachel Schreiber, Executive Dean of Parsons School of Design. “The Parsons community has been incredibly resilient in spite of so many obstacles posed by Covid-19, and it is a testament to our acclaimed faculty, innovative curriculum, and engaged students that we have been named the best art and design school in the country.”

The prestigious list reflects the visionary creativity and leadership of the faculty, staff, students, and alumni. It also speaks to major developments, innovations and adaptations in the curriculum, such as the addition of new Continuing Education certificates in Design Thinking, Illustrated Journalism, and more.

Parsons continues to top the list thanks to exciting new partnerships and bold initiatives. A recently announced collaboration with the Cactus Jack Foundation will include an unprecedented authentic fashion design program that will bring Parsons’ world-renowned curriculum to Houston, providing design education to the city’s youth.

QS rankings highlight the world’s top universities in 46 individual subjects, based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. Read the full article.
