Livie Casto / Design Thinking in Practice

"Teaching for CPE has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career thus far. I truly believe that if you are empathetic, enjoy problem-solving and have a burning desire to enhance people's lives, then you are uniquely poised to do design and strategy work. It's an honor for me to be able to help people either explore or jump start career options in this field."

Livie Casto

Livie is a trained musician turned design and innovation strategist whose mission is to make the world a better place by solving for the unmet needs of human beings. She is one of the founding members of the Business Design discipline at Method, a leading product design firm based in New York, and she is the Programming Strategy Lead for Women in Innovation, a non-profit focused on closing the gender equity gap in the innovation field. She has helped companies across various industries - fitness, wellness, fashion, healthcare, education, government, agriculture, petcare, and more - find opportunities to better connect with their customers, improve experiences for their employees and drive value for their shareholders.

Jeff Karly Drouillard / Fashion Sustainability

"CPE is a great opportunity to leverage my strengths and provide mentorship to students looking to expand their creativity and field. I'm looking forward to leveraging students' strength and pushing them beyond the scope of their initial thoughts."

Jeff Karly Drouillard

Jeff Karly is a Haitian-American storyteller, fashion designer, educator, and entrepreneur from Flatbush, Brooklyn. He graduated from Parsons in 2018 with a Master’s in Strategic Design and is a 2020 graduate of the inaugural MPS Fashion Management program. Through both his work at Parsons and his private label, Unique Expozzure, Jeff examines dichotomy within the context of the Black experience as it relates to where and how we were raised, and how this impacts our perception of design, imagination, and learning. His work focuses on diversifying stories, voices and reimagining fashion systems that restrict innovation. Jeff is a member of the CFDA’s 2020 future graduate fashion showcase.

He received his master's in Data Visualization at Parsons and his bachelor's in Philosophy at the University of California, Irvine. Elisa Miller / User-Centered Design (UX/UI)

"I'm really looking forward to engaging with an international audience of students looking to improve their usability skills. I find that lot of designers don't know much about it and find themselves excited to learn how usability testing can enhance their designs."

Elisa Miller

As a performance improvement thought-leader, Elisa's journey spans the breadth of the user experience landscape from product management to information architecture, from UX research to Design Operations. Twenty-plus years ago, Elisa pursued a Ph.D in Information science with the intention of becoming a college professor. Instead of finishing her doctorate, Elisa embarked on her journey through the world of user experience, human factors and product strategy, only to find herself teaching again. She is passionate about bringing her students into the world of user experience research, usability testing and accessibility/inclusive design.
