This concept-based course teaches the language of time-based storytelling, with a focus on the skills needed to build a strong drama and highly effective visuals for use in film, video, and digital motion projects. Students will gain an understanding of how motion graphics are created from the concept through all stages to the final finished clip or film. This course applies towards the Motion Design and Animation Certificate.

Usability Testing & Evaluation

In this course, students will learn about the concepts underlying usability testing and evaluating web sites and apps, to generate guidance for creating more usable websites and apps. Students will practice the usability testing process of defining a test goal, creating a test plan, defining testing tasks and analyzing usability test results. This course is the fourth course in the User-Centered Design (UX/UI) Certificate.

This course centers around the SketchUp software, its history, and its context within design industries, and will focus on acquiring the technical skills required to create realistic three-dimensional models. Learn how to build surfaces, volumes, objects, and spaces, how to produce technical and scaled architectural drawings, and how to produce photo-realistic renderings.
